Inspire, Improve, Excel.
At CMGK, our focus is on inspiring players to improve rather than proving themselves. Embracing challenges and reflecting on their craft helps take ownership of their development and build confidence. We value how each player responds to mistakes, fostering pride in personal growth. Through open dialogue with our coaches, we support the players through their journey, providing opportunities to learn, gain self-belief, and enjoy the process of improvement. CMGK is dedicated to helping one another own their dreams and achieve greatness.
Growth Mindset
Ability to embrace the challenges presented and focus on making incremental improvements.
Reflection
Taking ownership for your own development and focusing on the details will take you to the next level.
Communication
Own your goals and dreams but also speak about them so coaches can give you the opportunity to take in new information.
Pave Your Path, Leave Your Signature.
Ultimately, We want our CMGK athletes to pave the path that others want to follow, while also leaving their own individual signature on the field each and every practice/game. We see each person that joins CMGK as a leader, and that vision of how they lead will become clearer as they discover what it is they need to do and work on. That’s where CMGK comes in to help. We are here to guide our athletes to develop the necessary skills to make an impact on and off the field as leaders and role models.
Meet Casey Murphy
Casey Murphy is an accomplished professional soccer player, widely recognized for her remarkable skills and achievements in the sport. Born in Bridgewater, New Jersey in 1996, Casey began her soccer journey at a young age, showing immense talent and passion for the game. She played her youth soccer for clubs BSA and PDA, and then she went on to attend Rutgers University. At Rutgers, she broke almost every goalkeeper record at the school, in the BIG 10 conference, and the NCAA.
Montpellier bound, success on French soil.
After her college career, Casey continued to garner attention on the field, leading to her signing with Montpellier HSC in the French Division 1 Féminine in 2019. In her first season with the team, she played in both the Coupe de France Féminine and the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Following that season she earned the Division 1 Best Keeper Award and was selected by French media as part of the league’s Best XI in all of France. After 2 years abroad she returned to the US to play in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) for the Reign FC in Seattle and the North Carolina Courage, where she is currently playing. Casey holds the club shutout record in only her 3rd season with the team.
Learning more than the game.
Casey has always believed that soccer has been one of her greatest teachers.
“It’s taught me to go at life with a plan, to focus on what I want, to be stronger than my environment, to create new and difficult challenges, to fearlessly walk into things, to ask questions, to trust myself, to take responsibility, and to be resourceful with what I have.”
19 caps and 15 shutouts
Casey’s talents have also been recognized at the international level, as she has represented the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) at various youth levels and was called up to the senior team for the first time in 2018. She currently has 19 caps with the senior team in which 15 of them ended in shutouts, which makes her the quickest USWNT goalkeeper in history to achieve that many shutouts in that short amount of time. Casey has added to her accomplishments by earning herself her first Olympic Gold Medal with Team USA as they went undefeated in this year’s Olympic Games.
Casey’s growth and learning on and off the field is endless and she believes she can teach and lead with what she has experienced so far from all levels of the game. By sharing her journey, insights, and values, she hopes to inspire the next generation of athletes looking to reach their next level whether it is on or off the pitch.
